We cross the lake to reach the mouth of a channel only 40 meters wide that will lead us to Lake Pichi Machonico. •         RAFTING IN SAN MARTÍN DE LOS ANDES 

Another adventure activity that you cannot miss if you travel to San Martín de los Andesis the Hua Hum River rafting to the border. As its name says, we crossed into Chile on a 3-hour lake descent, although the excursion in general requires a 6-hour total arrangement.

The activity that operates only from January to March, begins in the Lanín National Park where they originated Hua Hum River (right at the mouth of Lake Nonthue). We leave from the Hua Hum area where, in addition to equipping ourselves with the safety elements (helmet, life jacket and paddle), we taste a delicious lunch before or after the journey. The route is almost 8 km. We cross the Valdivian jungle of incomparable beauty, avoiding the difficulties of the rapids and the constant zigzag that characterizes the descent down the river. As if that were not enough, between the huge rock walls you can see magical waterfalls with hot springs.

•         COAST FLY FISHING

If you have not practiced sport fishing and you are going to visit San Martín de los Andes, it is the perfect opportunity for you to live the experience. The most famous lakes for this activity are Lolog and Huechulafquen, Malleo, Meliquina, Filo Hua Hum and Caleufu, as well as the Chimehuin River which is world-renowned for the quality of its trout.
