    21 de January, 2021

Puerto Iguazu, the Argentine city that you have to reach to get to know the fascinating Iguazu Falls, is located in the north of the Province of Misiones, sharing a border with Brazil and Paraguay. So, how to get to this magical place doesn’t mean any more difficulty. On the contrary, there are many options, either by land or air.

    TRAVELLING TO IGUAZU BY LAND

If you are planning a trip for one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the land route is a great option to get to Iguazu. You will be able to enjoy all the breathtaking sights that the tour to the Iguazu Falls gives us. To do this, you have two alternatives:

    •         By bus:

One of the options we recommend to know Iguazu is to travel by bus. There are several bus companies at the national and provincial levels, which are responsible for moving tourists –from different parts of the country and neighboring countries– to the city of the falls.

Express Singer, Crucero del Norte, Via Bariloche, Flecha Bus, Andesmar, Río Uruguay, Expreso Tigre Iguazu, El Cometa and Empresa Horianski are some of the transport lines that operate from Puerto Iguazu Terminal. It’s appropriate to comment as well that in summer season so many more are added.

The packages we offer include the transfer to your accommodation, so once at the bus terminal we take care of taking you to the hotel. For our recommended itineraries you can read our article dedicated to Itineraries on the blog.

After the above, it’s important to know that at Moebius we offer travel packages that include this service to the terminal and subsequent transportation to your place of accommodation, combining with excursions if you wish. Check out the pre-planned travel itineraries for Iguazu. You’re sure to want to hire one!

    •         By car

If you have your own vehicle, you should know that you can also reach Iguazu by driving. In this sense, we want to share important information about the access roads to the Province of Misiones (city of Puerto Iguazu), from different significant points of the country:

    •         From Buenos Aires: the most direct path is by National Route 9, continuing along National Route 14 and ending on National Route 12.
    •         From Cordoba: by RN19, RN18 and RN12; all of these pathways are in very good condition.
    •         From the provinces of Patagonia: you have to get to Buenos Aires, La Pampa or Mendoza and from there continue with the routes already mentioned from each of these provinces.

Now you know how to get to Iguazu Falls by land… But how long does it take to get there? Read below a more accurate reference of the distances that there are to reach this place from various destinations.
