    Requirements to travel to Salta

Among the requirements to travel to Salta is the Summer Certificate. This province does not require negative PCR, in the same way, it does not hurt to have it.

    2 de June, 2021

Today, more than ever, is important to review the requirements of each place to which we are going to travel. Although there is always a basic documentation with which to comply, it has varied considerably after the Pandemic era in which we live. Therefore, we have prepared for you this article with the requirements to travel to Salta.

In fact, this province has not been the exception at the level of preventive measures against Covid-19. The authorities know the importance of caring for locals and foreigners, adding some procedures for entry and circulation in this northern province. Let’s see what the usual documentation is and what has just been incorporated.

DOCUMENTATION FOR ARGENTINE NATIONALS AND RESIDENTS

    •         Personal

In the case of adults with DNI by nationality or Argentine residence, this document is sufficient to enter the province. But, if the trip is with minors under 18 years of age and the parents’ names are not located on the back of the DNI, it must be the original family book or birth entered (another option is the certificate certified copy).

Meanwhile, when the minor travels alone with one of their parents, this needs signed authorization of the father who does not travel. It is worth remembering that none of these documents can be expired. Personal documents are key within the requirements to travel to Salta

    •         About the vehicle

If you are going to travel in your own vehicle, you have to hand over -in addition to the current driving record– the proof of payment insurance and the green or blue card (if applicable). In case the car is rented, the company will provide you with the necessary documentation except for the driving record.

    •         Covid-19

Faced with Covid-19, the only requirement that Salta asks of Argentine nationals or residents is the Summer Certificate. You can show it through the CUIDAR APP, in PDF or in print.

It is not necessary Negative PCR or travel assistance. However, it never hurts to travel with the protection and backing of travel insurance. You will be covered in case of contagion by Covid-19 and also in case of an accident, illness or other types of unforeseen events during the trip.

If you plan to combine the attractions of Salta with Jujuy, you should be clear that this province does ask for travel insurance with Covid-19 coverage. Circulation between two provinces is free, so trips that include both places on your travel itinerary will be a super choice for a holiday in the region.

DOCUMENTATION FOR FOREIGNERS TRAVELING TO SALTA

    •         Personnel

The documentation that foreigners must consign to enter Salta is the same that is required for another point of Argentine territory. That is to say, valid passport, visa -if it corresponds- and birth certificate and/or power of attorney of the parents who do not travel, as the case may be.

    •         Vehicle

For a rented vehicle, the traveler must present the documents of the car (supplied by the rental company), and the international driving certificate together with the registration of their country of origin which, of course, must be current at the time of the control.

In any case, we invite you to consult our travel itineraries to Salta. Whichever you choose includes air tickets and transfers, which means that you can visit the province without having to rent a car and in the company of specialized guides.

    •         Covid-19
