Without a doubt, the fastest way to get there is to fly with some airline. For this, this city operates with two airports that are: Trelew Airport and Puerto Madryn Airport, the latter located just 10 km from the shopping area.

However, most flights arrive in Trelew. This city –in the lower valley of the Chubut River– has a modern international airport that, in addition to being larger and having more traffic, has become the most common option to reach the area of the Valdés Peninsula. Only 60 km separate Trelew from Puerto Madryn.

The journey from Buenos Aires, represents a flight of 1:40 hours. If you are traveling in high season, winter holidays or holidays, it is essential that you book in advance. You will not want to run out of air ticket!

It is another perfect way to enjoy the landscapes that the trip gives us and combine with other destinations. It happens that, at the height of the province of Chubut, this route passes very close to the coast, allowing easy access to different beaches and towns.

Due to this, it’s recommended to make stops in places such as the Viedma-Carmen Shire of Patagones (beautiful beaches and history), San Antonio Oeste and Las Grutas (with warm and transparent waters), and the charming Port of Wolves on the border of Río Negro and Chubut (an almost secret environment to fish and collect seafood).

From Buenos Aires, National Route 3 is fully paved for a road of 1389 km. Keep in mind that from Sierra Grande, in Rio Negro, you can get the fuel with discounts of up to 35%.

If you come from Trelew you will travel 67 km to reach Puerto Madryn. There you will have to take a small route along National Route 25 until you pair with National Route 3.

In case you are in Rawson, from there you transit 67 km. In this case, you first take a small stretch along National Route 25, to splice with Route 3 that will take you to Madryn.

Departing from Comodoro Rivadavia, there are 450 km to get to Puerto Madryn. The good news is that the whole route is done on National Route 3, fully paved.

The journey from Buenos Aires, by land, takes 17 hours and can be reached by bus from the capital. For more details you can contact our travel specialists.
