Shincal de Quimivil was built by the Incas, who in addition to inhabiting the place between 1457 and 1536 made this place the most powerful political, administrative and religious center of this empire. Today, it gives us the perfect combination of its majestic nature and archaeological sites where incredible remains of that time rest.

    Like other tourist areas of Catamarca, the best time to travel to El Shincal is between the months of January and April, also from late September to early December.
