What clothes to take to Jujuy

WHAT TO BRING TO JUJUY ACCORDING TO THE SEASONS?

•         Winter

In Jujuy, winter is the coldest season of the year, despite the fact that the temperature drop is not as drastic as in other provinces. The cold is especially felt in the heights, so if you are going to carry out activities that take place in high altitude areas, we recommend warm clothing. 

In this season the essentials in the suitcase are: T-shirts or long-sleeved shirts, divers or sweaters, a sports jacket, as well as a thick coat. On the other hand, long pants (jean or whatever material they deem appropriate) cannot be missing either.

  Shims are also a good idea if you are comfortable. Polar or thermal collars can be an excellent option to have the neck warm without worrying about losing your scarf. 

•         Spring

During the spring, the temperature in Jujuy begins to rise compared to winter, especially during the hours of sunshine. That is why they should wear loose and fresh clothes, preferably in light colors, such as: short-sleeved shirts, a light jacket or coat, shorts or bermuda shorts.

•         Summer

  It is normally very hot. In that sense, the clothes they should wear are very similar to spring, but with less light outerwear. Don’t forget to pack some sandals and bug repellants for hot summer nights. 

•         Autumn

Despite the fact that in the autumn the temperatures drop a bit compared to the summer, the warm weather continues to be a constant in Jujuy during this season. For this reason, we do not recommend wearing a lot of warm clothing such as large campervans and thermal clothing. On the contrary, light clothing is more useful; some short and long sleeved shirts or long pants.

Meanwhile, some culottes, a sweater or light jacket will be perfect for this season. Autumn is undoubtedly one of the best times to visit Jujuy and luggage is also very easy to prepare.
